HARMONY HALL
Harmony Hall Art Gallery, Craft shop, boutique and restaurant in Tower Isle represents one of the rich historical treasures and legacy that abounds in St. Mary. Built in the nineteenth century of stone and daub, it once housed a Methodist manse, but was closed for a period of time. The present owners are Annabella and Peter Proudlock. It was discovered and bought in 1980 by Annabella and Graham who did a year of renovation and remodeling. The beautiful fret-work which adorns the verandah of the two-storey building was the main feature of the renovation. The rooms were also remodeled. Since the opening in 1981 both local and overseas visitors have been attracted to view the works produced by renowned artists and intuitives. Harmony Hall has since received international acclaim from the public and the media.
WASSI ART
Located in Great Pond, a small rural community in the hills of Ocho Rios, Jamaica, Wassi Art is now considered to be one of the premier pottery factories in the Caribbean. Wassi Art creates fresh unique designs for bowls, teapots, plates, jugs, vases and platters, each of which is a collectors item. Many visitors to our island take the opportunity to include a tour of this facility in their vacation plan. Here you get a chance to observe the entire process of making some of our beautiful pottery pieces and also to meet some of the artists.
